VKLive kicks off today and the run up to heading out for it has been crazy.
I’ve washed and blocked two shawls, cast on a sample for a new pattern, charted another pattern, and worked on the layout for the Afternoon Tea hat pattern
Plus all the usual family things! Whew! What a week. Catch you on the flip side 😀

Nearly three years ago I knit this hat and sweater combo for a highly anticipated family baby.
The babe would be my nephew and when I knit these no one knew how much my daughter, a staggering 5 years his senior, would come to adore him.
The hat is of my own design, but the sweater pattern is Debbie Bliss’ Ribbed Baby Jacket - my go-to baby sweater pattern - knit up in Rowan All Season’s Cotton with with little puppy button. This is the 5th Baby Jacket I’ve knit, each with a slight mod to the finishing (and different yarns) to make them all unique, just like the babies who wear them.
I’ll be casting on a sixth one soon - this charming almost 3yo is going to be a big brother.
What’s your favorite baby knit?
cheers,
Spring
