I’ve been thinking a lot about what I was doing this time last year, before the world took a deep breath and stood still.
I had just released my Pulsar shawl, was putting the finishing touches on my Afternoon Tea hat (pic at end of this post), and getting ready to hop on a train to VK Live in NYC.
This year is, of course, different. There are no trips to VKL or family vacation planned, but that’s OK. I’ve got my eyes on the horizon to the days when there are.
In the meantime, I’m focusing on my family and on small things - the simple joy of sitting together by the fire and playing games. We’re fortunate to be in good health and I shall not take that for granted.
I’m also knitting. A lot. I have 3 shawls, a kids poncho, and a hat on the needles. I also have a shawl pattern ready to release (possibly next week if the weather perks up and I can take some outdoor photos) and am going to be looking for test knitters for my Puck baby sweater.
Be safe and be well knitters.
